Eaton Analyst Sees Strong Orders, Raises 2027 EPS Forecast

Eaton Corporation (NYSE: ETN ) CEO Paulo Ruiz said in a conference on September 16 that the company had a very strong July and August and expects third-quarter results toward the high end of its guidance. Bank of America Securities analyst Andrew Obin expects Eaton to meet elevated expectations as electrical demand remains strong, with channel checks showing good visibility and pricing in U.S. electrical markets, supported by data centers and utilities. The key focus for the second half of 2026 remains improving productivity through operational execution, which could support further upside and offset potential aerospace supply chain pressures, adds the analyst. The analyst projects orders to remain strong, consistent with channel checks and data center spending, which reached a 57% year-over-year increase to a $75 billion annualized pace in July. The analyst maintained its third-quarter EPS estimate at $3.54, at the top of the $3.46-$3.56 guidance range, while adjusting the underlying drivers for stronger Electrical growth and weaker Aerospace performance. Organic growth is now expected at 16.0%, up from 14.8% previously and versus 14.3% consensus. The analyst raised the 2027 EPS estimate to $15.90 from $14.92, compared with the $15.95 consensus, reflecting lower corporate expenses and stronger growth from Electrical, improved margins and lower M&A costs, partly offset by weaker Aerospace performance. Technical Analysis Eaton Corporation ‘ s stock has a strong technical setup, trading above every major moving average with the 20-day SMA above the 50-day and the 50-day above the 200-day. That alignment supports a bullish longer-term trend, although the distance above the 200-day average shows the rally is getting extended. RSI is 78.03, placing Eaton Corporation, PLC Ordinary Shares’s stock firmly in overbought territory after RSI crossed above 70 on October 2. That confirms strong buying pressure, but it also raises the chance of a pause, pullback, or sideways consolidation before the next sustained move.
