He suffered from external heat stroke that reduced flow of oxygen to his brain and is unlikely to recover, according to family attorney Rob Carey. Carey said the 21-year-old Mayich had shown signs of distress before his collapse at the workout, which took place in 89F heat. Carey also said there was no cold water tub available, which is often used to treat overheating. The Green Beret in charge of the practice, Tim Ziesel, did not have a contract with the university. C
