Watch: Hawaii's Kīlauea volcano erupts for more than 8 hours
Hawaii's Kīlauea volcano erupted early Thursday morning, sending fountains of lava soaring into the sky for more than eight hours, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It was the volcano's 45th eruptive episode since December 2024.
